About Joseph R. Famuyide
Joseph Rotimi Famuyide, Esq. a former Law Lecturer at the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria, was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1989 after graduating from the prestigious University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in Nigeria as the best student in the graduating class of 1988.
At the University of Ife, He won the Faculty Prize as the best student with the best overall result from the graduating class of 1988,he won the Justice Madarikan prize as the best student with the best all round performance from the graduating class of 1988 and the prestigious Adewole prize as the best student with the best overall performance in commercial law and laws of business associations.
Attorney Famuyide holds a Master's Degree (L.L.M.) from University of Lagos, Nigeria.
He started his car eer as an attorney, as the legal Adviser to the Brigade Commander, 31 Field Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army. He proceeded thereafter to practice law at Iluyomade & Co., a prestigiou s law office in Victoria Island, Lagos. He served as the Head Chambers and was part of some high profile and well publicized cases during the Military Regime in Nigeria.
Lawyer Joseph Famu yide was a lecturer at the Nigerian Law School before proceeding to the United States. He sat for the New York Bar examination, passed within seven months of his arrival in the United States and was admitted to the New York States Bar on May 8, 1996.
He joined the Law Office of Fritz Gerald Jean in New York and served diligently as one of the Litigation Attorneys.
He is currently a successful Immigration and Real Estate Attorney in New York. He is a member of the Nigeria bar in Nigeria, American Bar Association and the Nigerian Lawyers Association in New York.
